Село Злокучан се намира в непосредствена близост до Скопие в Македония. И макар в етимологията на българските села Злокучене в Софийско и Пазарджишко да присъства елемент на злакучене, което въпреки това е малко вероятно, то в името на македонското селище участва думата за къща, която в македонския език е куча. Във всичките случаи става дума за общ белег и на трите села, касаещ негостоприемността на жителите им като главната характеристика на техните обитатели, което пък от своя страна говори за тясната етимологична връзка между думите къща и куче, още повече, че в някои български диалекти все още присъства дума куща със семантично обозначение на книжовната дума къща.
